After starting the new year strong with our brand-new French Script Lettering workshop, I’ve got my sights set on a few more upcoming alphabetic engagements.
Up next is Script Lettering Stylebook, which kicks off in just a few weeks. In this weekly online course, I’ll work with students one on one as we take a deep dive into essential genres—from traditional flourished script to wild, contemporary styles.
But before that, I’m heading to Sarasota, Florida to participate in the Ligature Exhibition at Ringling College of Art and Design. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by the opening this Friday, February 6, 2026 to check out the students’ work, say howdy, and maybe even swap some iguana-wrangling stories.
After that, I’ll be joining a group of seriously talented lettering artists as a jury member and panelist for the Type Directors Club annual competition. The final deadline is February 27, 2026, so there’s still plenty of time to enter.
In the meantime, Lynn and I are scheming on new online lettering talks and workshops. If you missed any recent ones, now’s a great time to check out the latest recordings before we make room for more classes!
